Elisabeth Lictevout

Hydrogeologist and PhD in Water Sciences from the University of Montpellier (France), MSc in Sustainable Management and Protection of Water Resources from the University of Braunschweig (Germany). Co-founder and director of Carpe Science. Accumulates 20 years of experience in water projects in international context. Water quality consultant for the Joint Monitoring Program of UNICEF and WHO. Associate researcher of the Soil, Water and Forest Laboratory (LISAB) of the Faculty of Forest Sciences of the University of Concepción. Collaborates with the Corporación Norte Grande, Tarapacá Region, from 2016. From 2011 to 2015, Director of CIDERH (Center for Research and Development in Water Resources) located in the Atacama Desert, northern Chile. Research topiccs: arid zone hydrogeology, groundwater ecosystems, water heritage and local knowledge.

Carlos Abellanosa

Technician Diploma in Marketing and Advertising. Has worked more than 20 years as a graphic designer doing all kinds of work; from printed and digital media to exhibitions. Activity that continues to develop today from the educational approach and environmental protection for Carpe Science.

As co-founder of Carpe Science, he carries out outdoor recreational and educational activities from hiking, climbing, canyoning, climbing and speleology. He is a Master Leave No Trace and Outdoor Educator by NOLS Patagonia School and Canyoning Monitor Level 1 by ICAN School.

He worked and was a training partner of the tourism agencies Tropical Desert Trips in Jordan (2007-2009) and Diedro, Escalada & Aventura (2012-2016) in Tarapacá, Chile.
